Additional Options for Adding References to your EndNote Library

EndNote offers two additional options for getting references into your EndNote library.  Each offers special capabilities that may prove especially adaptive depending on your information needs and circumstances.

The EndNote Online Search utility (also referred to as the Z39.50 information retrieval protocol) is very useful for searching public information databases, e.g., OhioLINK, Library of Congresss or PubMed, and instantly adding references retrieved from these databases into your EndNote library.

The EndNote Capture utility can be downloaded and loaded into your browser from your EndNote Online account.  This capture utility can retrieve references from a variety of proprietary databases and vendors, and you need not be connected to your EndNote desktop library.  You can capture data with only an Internet connection and subsequently sync this information with your EndNote desktop library.
