The following dates apply to residents in the Commonwealth of Kentucky for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election.

Registration Deadlines:
- The last day to register to vote or update your voter registration in Kentucky is: April 22, 2024
Absentee Ballot Deadlines:
- The last day to request a Military/Overseas ballot in Kentucky is: May 14, 2024
- The last day to request an absentee ballot online in Kentucky is: May 7, 2024 at 4pm
- All absentee ballots must be received by the board of elections in Kentucky by: May 21, 2024
- Note: Because your ballot must be received by election day, if at all possible, it is highly recommended to mail back your absentee ballot ASAP due to mail disruptions. POSTMARKS ON ELECTION DAY DO NOT COUNT.
Early In-Person Voting Dates:
- Excused, Early In-Person Voting begins in Kentucky May 8, 2024 and ends May 15, 2024
- No excuse, Early In-Person Voting begins in Kentucky May 16, 2024 and ends May 18, 2024
