Degrees granted. The department offers the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees Chemical Engineering, the B.S. in Materials Engineering, and the M.S. and Ph. D. in both Materials Science and Materials Engineering.
Research focus. The department features a Center of Excellence in Membrane Technology, supported by a SOHIO grant. An Eminent Scholar Chair has been awarded in membrane technology. The department participates in the Polymer Research Center, an interdepartmental program in the polymer area.
