Datazar (A repository developed by UC students)Datazar is a research platform and general purpose repository where researchers can work on projects and upload data at no cost. Files are organized into projects created by researchers either publicly or privately. Each file stored within these projects receives a unique ID and receives long term back up support. All file types are supported and there is no limit on the amount uploaded. Researchers are able to track who uses their data over time and contact other researchers directly.
Platform features include:
Collaborations:
• A space to upload and manage raw data and analysis
• A mapping system that links the raw data to it’s respective analysis
• A permission system to control who has access to what portion of the project
• Collect metrics on your research projects (i.e. activity, views, replications...)
Analysis:
• Analyze data on the platform without having to download/re-download your data to your device
• Build interactive research reports that help better understand the research
• Use other people’s analysis tools to explore your data or make your own
• Understand the analysis tools that you use by looking at the source code
Community
• Connect with other people on the community of your interest and discuss through our forums
• See what others are researching and discover new material
• Show off your analysis skills to prospective job offers
• Contribute to public research projects and help accelerate the field through the research
