E-books at UC Libraries

This guide provides an overview if e-books in UC collections and online. Learn to find and read e-books.

About the CRCnetBASE Collection

CRCnetBASE provides full text access to over 1,000 engineering, science, medical, and information technology reference books from CRC Press.

To access CRCnetBASE e-book collection:

  • On the Library homepage (http://libraries.uc.edu/) click the Databases tab in the red search box.
  • Type "crcnetbase" in the search box. Click the search icon or hit "Enter."

  • On the result screen click on "CRCnetBASE."
    If prompted for off-campus login, login with your UC credentials (6+2 and central password).

CRCnetBASE e-books may also be found by searching the library catalog and Summon.

Reading Online

If you are browsing, click on the book title to display content. Click on "Download PDF" for the desired chapter.

If you performed a search chapters that meet your search criteria will be displayed. Click on "Download PDF" for the desired item.

If you click the checkbox for the chapter you need and then click the Email link, you will receive a link, which will take you to the PDF copy.

Printing and Copying

Printing of individual chapters is allowed. Use the print icon above the opened PDF to print the chapter.

You can copy and paste text from the e-book.

You can also save chapters as PDF files.
