Off Campus Access

Many of the UC Libraries and OhioLINK resources -- e.g., electronic databases, e-journals, e-books -- will require your authentication.  UC Libraries provides two options for authentication: the proxy server and the VPN service.  Both services will require your central login information.

  • Proxy server  --  all of the licensed resources available through this portal "automatically" invoke the proxy server.  There is no need for you to "link" to the proxy server; it will occur automatically.
  • VPN Network -- VPN access provides a 4 hour secure session enabling multiple logins to remote resources, including resources from non-psychology UC Libraries pages, e.g. OhioLINK resources, RefWorks, etc.
    • NOTE: After you log in with your central login information, be sure to click on the [Start] button to connect to the VPN network. After connecting to the VPN network, you may now connect to any UC Libraries or OhioLINK resources.
