Bearcat Academy - Welcome to the Library

Prepared for Bearcat Academy to introduce 12th graders to University Libraries.

Welcome to the Library!

This guide was created to introduce you to libraries in higher ed. Whether you have a library at your current school or have used the public library in the past, all libraries share similarities. Books, computers, study spaces. University and college libraries also have all of those. And much more.

Learning Objectives

1. After completing this guide, students should be able to explain why it is important to visit the library and what can be found in a library, both in person and online.

2. After completing the Academic Integrity Module, students will gain the skills needed to identify how to cite resources correctly and where to go for more information for citation help.

3. After reviewing the Libraries on Campus guide, students will be able to locate the correct subject library for the classes in which they are enrolled.
