Welcome

This guide will get you started on your research process for Enterprise Risk Management.  Please refer to your professor and syllabus for detailed information for the assignment.

Where to Find Public Records

Public records are documents filed by or on behalf of a company with state and local agencies.  These include taxes, UCC documents, licenses, and legal filings.  These documents generally are found at the State's Secretary of State website and/or the local clerk of court website.  They are excellent places to locate company risk data.  You can determine if your company is in good standing, has significant debt, and if it has legal problems.
