Information for Volunteer Readers

Participate in this exciting event by volunteering to read aloud a short passage (2-3 minutes or less) by an African American author. Volunteers can obtain a reading in the following ways:

  • Bring your own short reading by a favorite African American author. 
  • Use this guide to find and request items available at the UCBA Library and other UC Libraries.  

Accessing UCBA Library Books

The UCBA Library stacks are currently closed for browsing during Spring Semester but books can still be borrowed using the Click and Collect service.

eBooks can be accessed and read electronically by following the respective links on the suggested reading list pages and logging in with your UC ID and password.
