Classroom and Teaching Technology Update

This guide looks at some of the teaching technology available for you to use.

Canvas vs. TWEN

Canvas and TWEN are Learning Management Systems (LMS), also known as course web pages. Canvas is the University of Cincinnati's Learning Management System and is supported by the university. TWEN is a product from Thompson Reuters. To access Canvas, you need your UC credentials. To access TWEN you need your Westlaw username and password. Canvas courses are automatically created by the university and populated with your students. TWEN courses do not exist until you create them and students must be manually enrolled or you must allow them to self-enroll.  Below is a chart comparison of TWEN and Canvas features.
