Getting Started with Citations

Citation can be complicated because we now access information in so many different formats.

If you don't know how to cite an information source, gather as much information as you can about it and ask a librarian to help you.  The Learning Center at Clermont College (McDonough Hall 100) can also provide assistance on all aspects of the writing process, including help with citation.

EBSCOhost databases, Summon, and many other library databases will actually provide citations for you. Users can usually select their preferred citation style (including MLA, APA, and others) when saving, printing, or emailing an article.
