In 1991, the law school began publishing the Duke Environmental Law & Policy Forum (ISSN 1064-3958). Originally an interdisciplinary annual magazine, in recent years the forum has taken on traditional journal form with lead articles and comments submitted by noted scholars and practitioners and notes submitted by students. The forum takes advantage of the Law School's close relationship with the Nicholas School of the Environment and the Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy as it presents scholarship related to both the legal and policy analyses of environmental issues. The Journal of International Wildlife Law & Policy 's mission is to address legal and political issues concerning the human race's interrelationship with and management of wildlife species, their habitats, and the biosphere.
