Important Deadlines for Ohio Primary Voting

The following dates apply to residents in the state of Ohio for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election.

The last day to register to vote or update your voter registration in Ohio is: February 20, 2024

Absentee Ballot Deadlines:

General Absentee ballot applications in Ohio must be received by the Board of Elections by: March 12, 2024
The last day to postmark/mail via U.S. Mail all absentee ballots for Ohio is: March 18, 2024
Note: If at all possible, it is highly recommended to mail back your absentee ballot ASAP due to possible mail disruptions.
The last day to drop off your absentee ballot at your county's Board of Elections in Ohio is: March 19, 2024 by close of polls

Early In-Person Voting Dates:

Early In-Person Voting begins in Ohio February 21, 2024 and ends March 17, 2024
