The Law Library organizes books using the Library of Congress classification scheme. Each book is labeled with its own unique call number, and that call number is like an address that tells you where in the library to find that book. Each of the library's stacks is labeled with the call number range that it includes. If you know the title of the book you are looking for, you can find its location and call number in our online catalog.
Please refer to our maps for a better understanding of where in the Library each call number range is located. Remember to note the location of the item you are looking for (Law Stacks, Reserves, Morgan, Reference etc.).
The third floor of the Law Library is where you will find the main entrance, circulation desk, reference collection, public terminals, the Ohio Alcove, Ohio 2 Collection, Law Main collection, Federal room, the copier and scanner, and the after hours exit.
The fourth floor fo the Law Library is where you will find Non-Ohio state material, Foreign and International Law material, legal periodicals, microfiche material, study carrels and tables, Study Room 431A and Study Room 431B.
