This guide provides a general overview of health law. It covers locating articles, treatises, statutory law, administrative materials, agency publications, legislative histories and websites of interest. The guide can be used by students, faculty members, lawyers, and the general public.

Food For Thought
Health law concerns the practice and regulation of health care delivery, as well as medical malpractice and bioethics. This guide focuses on general health law resources. Topics include: treatment relationship, duty to care, informed consent; health care professional licensure, medical liability and malpractice, health care spending, health insurance coverage, health care institutions, and health care business associations.
Off-Campus Access to Library Databases
Due to subscription and licensing agreements, certain library resources are restricted to UC faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students.
If you are a currently enrolled student, UC faculty, or staff member and are trying to access restricted library materials from off campus or otherwise outside the campus network, you must use either the login for off campus access or the UC VPN.
