Graphic Medicine

Graphic Medicine - what is it?

As defined by Dr. Ian Williams (https://www.graphicmedicine.org/why-graphic-medicine/) , graphic medicine is:

"The intersection between the medium of comics and the discourse of healthcare."

Graphic medicine utilizes comics and illustrations to tell the stories of patients, illnesses, health, and healthcare. The use of graphic medicine can help convey information and can also increase physician empathy and understanding.

These print books can be found in the lower level (R) of the HSL and are all available to be checked out.
