This guide provides information on the CECH Library's Anti-Racism LibGuide Audit, as well as tools and process overview so you can do it, too!

Process Overview

  1. Review other universities’ LibGuides for anti-racism content
  2. Develop rubric
  3. Determine guides appropriate for audit – subject guides only
  4. Apply rubric, make notes
  5. Collect anti-racism resources:
    • Discipline-specific resources for individual guides
    • General resources for shared content across guides
  6. Add anti-racism resources, integrating into existing guide's structure where possible
  7. Integrate other discipline-specific resources into “Anti-Racism in [Guide Name/Topic]" page
  8. Map boxes for general resources for shared content across guides into “Anti-Racism in [Guide Name/Topic]” page
  9. Apply rubric, make notes
  10. Engage stakeholders:
    • Departmental/area contacts
    • Library-sponsored workshop
    • College groups (DEI Working Group, DEI Board)
    • UCL Librarians
