Bloomberg Terminal

The Bloomberg Terminal is a dedicated computer terminal for accessing financial data electronically. It seamlessly integrates real-time and historical information on about 5 million bonds, equities, commodities, currencies and funds. It also comprises data on almost every publicly traded company and biographies of more than 1 million people.

Location: 

Bloomberg Terminals are available in the Johnson Investment Lab in Lindner Hall 3210.  

Hours:

Monday-Thursday 7am-10pm
Friday: 7am-5pm
Saturday: 8am-5pm
Sunday: Noon-5pm

Exercises to Use the Terminal (From Bloomberg). This is a set of 15 video-based questions about Equity Options which show the student how to use Bloomberg to better understand equity derivatives. The students will understand how to leverage Bloomberg to answer the questions and discover more about Equity Options by practical interaction with the inputs.

HELP FROM BLOOMBERG:

If you are logged into Bloomberg as a “professor” (Based on a user survey that is done at the initial sign up) you will have access to live chat.  If you are using a logon where you self- identified as a student in that user survey, you may not get a live chat but you will get an email form and the question(s) that you pose will be answered in 24 hours.
