Tips and Tricks for Teaching Remotely

This guide is intended to introduce you to material and resources that may help you when teaching a class remotely.

CALI Polling

Creating CALI Lesson Links

  • CALI stands for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction.  CALI.org is a non-profit consortium of law schools – of which UC Law is a member – that develops and distributes legal education lessons to the consortium members. CALI Lessons are available online at http://www.cali.org. There are hundreds of lessons for all types of legal subjects. You can browse lessons at http://www.cali.org/lesson.
  • LessonLink is a CALI tool that allows faculty members to view student scores, completion rates and usage of CALI lessons.
  • Faculty members can share the LessonLink and Course URLs the same way any other URL is shared - via a post on a course website (e.g. TWEN or Canvas, course blog, or by email.
