Systematic Reviews & Library Assistance

Reviews & Testimonies

Melissa and the UC COM library helped us with a systematic literature search for a Meta-Analysis we are conducting on the impact of asymptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage following endovascular stroke treatment. From the first time we met, Melissa outlined all the possible services they offer and was very quick and thorough in answering all our questions and emails. We considered using novel online-based tools for our literature search but quickly realized how much better our search string and overall search results would be with Melissa’s help. After reviewing our project proposal, she made some poignant questions, requested some “gold-standard” papers on our topic and was able to quickly build a search string that perfectly encapsulated our objectives. She then ran the search, de-duplicated results and sent us the results of a search that would otherwise have taken significant time and would arguably not have been as thorough and precise as it was. We strongly recommend everyone consider reaching out to Melissa and the UC COM Library for any literature search they might require.
