American Community Survey (ACS)
The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ongoing survey that provides vital information on a yearly basis about our nation and its people. Information from the survey generates data that help determine how more than $400 billion in federal and state funds are distributed each year. Through the ACS, we know more about jobs and occupations, educational attainment, veterans, whether people own or rent their home, and other topics.
Census of Governments
The Census of Governments identifies the scope and nature of the nation's state and local government sector; provides authoritative benchmark figures of public finance and public employment; classifies local government organizations, powers, and activities; and measures federal, state, and local fiscal relationships.
State and Local Government Finance
Statistics on revenue, expenditure, debt, and assets (cash and security holdings) for governments. There are statistics for the 50 state areas and the District of Columbia, as well as a national summary.
