Basic instructions and tips for finding music and other performance arts materials using OneSearch advanced search

Library of Congress Classification

The CCM Library focuses on materials that support CCM-related areas of music, musical theatre, dance, and some aspects of theatre and drama, while Langsam Library holds materials that support theatre and media production and DAAP Library holds more materials related to design. The materials in the UC Libraries are catalogued using the Library of Congress classification system.
In the CCM Library Scores Room, scores are organized by Library of Congress call numbers in Class M--Music.
In the CCM Library Reading Room, resources are organized by Library of Congress classification for Dance, Music Literature, Music Theory, Theatre Literature, and other Fine and Performing Arts subjects.
