EndNote on the Medical Campus

Faculty, staff, and students on the Medical Campus now have access to EndNote 21. To download this resource:

  1. Click on your computer's Start button
  2. Select CoM IT Software Center
  3. Click on EndNote to install

EndNote Desktop

EndNote LogoEndNote Desktop is the industry standard software tool for publishing and managing bibliographies, citations and references on the Windows and Macintosh desktop.

Pros of EndNote Desktop:

  1. Customizable
  2. Handles large article libraries well (>5,000) 
  3. Ability to fetch full text in batches
  4. Includes a free online EndNote account that syncs with your EndNote desktop account
  5. Insert references in Word and create citations and a bibliography using the style you need 
  6. Good online tutorials

Cons of EndNote Desktop:

  1. Cost 
  2. Steeper learning curve
  3. Does not add website information well
