Proxy info for EndNote

Adding proxy info to your EndNote library allows you to seamlessly access the full text of your saved references (as long as the library has a subscription to these). To do this:

Go to Edit > Preferences > Find Full Text

In the Open URL Path box, enter:

  • http://AJ2VR6XY7Z.search.serialssolutions.com

In the Authenticate with URL box, enter:

  • https://uc.idm.oclc.org/login?url=

Click OK and close the Preferences window

EndNote on the Medical Campus

For Academic Health Center individuals with UC OWNED PCs:

  • Staff & Faculty using HSL or COM Windows PC's can search their computer for the Software Center application, Endnote is an option to install themselves through the Software Center without involving IT
  • Mac Users should be referred to the form below.

For Academic Health Center Students, Faculty & staff INSTALLING EndNote ON THEIR PERSONAL COMPUTER (for both Windows and Mac):

The request form is built into Servicenow (the IT ticketing system.) 

  • Login here first. The login button is in the upper right-hand corner. 
  • After successful DUO authentication, navigate to the Academic Health Center | EndNote License Request page. 
  • Complete and submit the form, an automated email will be sent with the license key & installation instructions.

EndNote Desktop

EndNote LogoEndNote Desktop is the industry standard software tool for publishing and managing bibliographies, citations and references on the Windows and Macintosh desktop.

Pros of EndNote Desktop:

  1. Customizable
  2. Handles large article libraries well (>5,000) 
  3. Ability to fetch full text in batches
  4. Includes a free online EndNote account that syncs with your EndNote desktop account
  5. Insert references in Word and create citations and a bibliography using the style you need 
  6. Good online tutorials

Cons of EndNote Desktop:

  1. Cost 
  2. Steeper learning curve
  3. Does not add website information well
