Studied at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, 1954-58, B.Arch.; Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 1958-59, M.Arch.: American Academy in Rome, 1960-62 (Prix de Rome; Brunner Fellowship). Private practice in Princeton, New Jersey, since 1964. Lecturer, 1962-63, assistant professor, 1963-67, associate professor, 1967-72, and Schirmer Professor of Architecture, since 1972, Princeton University, New Jersey; has also taught at University of Texas, Austin; University of Houston; New School for Social Research, New York; University of California, Los Angeles.
