After conducting a search, you can refine your search results using the facets under "Tweak your results" on the left side. Some facets may not appear if they are not relevant to the search you conduct.
*Note that when you use the facets, most of the options allow you to click the checkbox to the left of the category to include that option in your filter or click the checkbox to the right of the category to exclude that option from your search.
Scroll down and click "Apply Filters."
As you search for music resources, you may at different times want to access materials in different formats. There are steps you can take as you search to identify audio recordings and scores and to restrict your search results to a particular format.
You can make this a part of your initial search from the OneSearch advanced search screen. Under the Search Filters, you can make general choices under Material Type: for example, Scores or Sound recordings. Remember that if you search under the category of "UC Libraries Catalog," the search results will only include physical materials. Selecting the category "Articles, Books and More" will include electronic resources.
You could also select your desired format after you've conducted your search by refining with the Resource Type facet.
You will notice that the filters only offer these general options. If you want to restrict your search with more specific parameters such as "CDs only," "LPs only," or "miniature scores," you should include these terms in your initial search.
