To borrow items from the Law Library, please place a hold on the item in UCLID. Requested items will be pulled, checked out, and an email sent to you when the items are ready to be picked up. These items will be labeled and placed on the desk across from the circulation desk and should be picked up within 48 hours.
When you are ready to return your items, there is a return bin located on the desk immediately to the left of the entrance to the library. Returned items will be quarantined for 14 days (at this time) and will then be checked in. Any fines incurred during the time items are quarantined will be waived.
At this time, we encourage students to request items to pick up rather than going into the stacks and pulling books from the shelves in an effort to keep within UC’s COVID CAREFUL Guidelines.
Renewals may be made through the online catalog, or by telephone at 556-3016. Check your account and renew books through My Library Record.
You can access UCLID from any computer connected to the Internet whether on-campus or off-campus.
Always check UCLID first to see if a book is available in our library or another UC library.
When you find a title through UCLID, the online catalog, that is owned by another library:
The book will be delivered to the Law Library and you will receive an email in your UC email account when it comes. Be aware that it may take 3 or more days to arrive. Check your account and renew books at My Library Record.
If a book you want is not available at UC, you may be able to find and borrow it through the OhioLINK. Be sure and check UCLID first. OhioLINK is also accessible through UCLID (click the search OhioLINK button)
When you find a title that is owned by another library:
The Law Library does not have the authority to waive fines from other libraries. Check your account and renew books at My Library Record.
