Once you've begun searching for children's books in the CECH Library, you'll want to pay attention to call numbers. Not only to call numbers provide clues to a book's physical location, they also help with understanding its intended audience and reading level.
The table below lists call number types within the CECH Children's & YA Books collection.
Children's books may also be located in the Kretschmer Collection of Native American Children's Literature area. This is a special collection of Native children's literature. Call numbers like the ones above (E, J, GN, etc.) are included here, but can be found in a special area of the library if the location is CECH Kretschmer's Special Collection.
