Distance Learning students can use UC's interlibrary loan system (ILLiad) to request articles and book chapters.
The interlibrary loan service you use depends on your UC college enrollment.

If you have not used ILLiad before, you will be prompted to complete a registration form before you can submit requests. Enter the following information during registration:

Most resources that support your study are available online. If you need a print publication to support your course work, the University of Cincinnati Libraries will work with you to supply the materials. UC library books will be checked out in your name and mailed to you.
Please note that you will be responsible for returning materials by the due date via a traceable mail service, such as UPS or FedEx.
Students in the state of Ohio can request books through the OhioLINK central catalog for pick-up at another OhioLINK library. Only books not available from a UC library can be requested through the OhioLINK central catalog. Books not available or not owned at the University of Cincinnati libraries or available through the OhioLINK central catalog may be obtained through your local public library’s interlibrary loan service.
To request UC library books or for more information, contact our Interlibrary Services Department at 513-556-1984 or CIN.Loans@uc.edu.
