Search Summon

Summon is a great place to start a search for sources (e.g. scholarly articles, news articles, ebooks, streaming media). Use the search box on this page or go to the Articles search box on the UC Libraries website.

Finding Books

Books are a great source for historical information and images. Our library is organized based on subject matter, so chances are that if you find a helpful book on our shelf, there will be books on a similar topic organized next to and around it. You may find a great book by physically browsing the shelves in a way that you wouldn't necessarily see by using Summon or our online library catalog.

Ebooks are electronic versions of a book. In order to access them in our collections, you can either search in Summon and limit your results by clicking the "eBook Full Text Online" box; or from the UC Libraries Catalog under Material Type you can select Book and under Electronic Resource select Internet Resource.
