Getting Access to Esri

How to create your ARCGIS online account

UC Community members have access to the Ersi software ArcGIS through a state wide license managed by the Ohio Supercomputer Center. DTS supports this resource.  If you have any issues, visit the UC Service Portal Catalog and submit a ESRI GIS specific ticket using the dedicated form (you need to log into the service portal to access this ticket).

Creating an Account

You can set up an account by logging into our UC organization.  Visit https://ucincinnati.maps.arcgis.com/home/index.html and click on "Sign In" in the upper right hand corner of the page.

You should see a blue box that says University of Cincinnati on it.  Click this box, and the UC login window should open.  Once you log in, your account will be created.  The process to access your account will be the same each afterwards.

Ecosystem

ArcGIS Online and StoryMaps work together as your gateway into digital mapping and storytelling. Think of ArcGIS Online as your mapping workspace - it's where you create, store, and manage all your maps and geographic data. When you're ready to turn these maps into engaging stories, ArcGIS StoryMaps steps in as your storytelling companion.

The best part? These tools are designed to work together and create a mutual platform that accommodates almost all fields of work that specialize in data, whether it’s urban planning, business analysis, environmental studies, or public engagement.

This connected system means you can focus on telling your story while seamlessly accessing all the geographic and data tools you need.
