Number of Users

Many of our e-books and streaming media have licenses that restrict access to a certain number of users. Access to these resources can change over time, so we recommend checking with your library liaison before assigning an e-book or streaming media to make sure it is available when you need it and is licensed for the number of users you’ll need for your classes.

Certain resources such as Kanopy Streaming Media and some ebooks require purchase approval by Library staff which typically takes one business day.

Requests for Purchase

UCBA Library Purchase Request
If the Library does not carry what you need for your class, you can submit a request for purchase.  If you wish to request an e-book or e-journal, please submit the request a minimum of 3 weeks prior to when it is needed. All requests are subject to the UCBA Library's collection development policies
UCBA Collection Development Policy
The UCBA Library is committed to providing high quality and innovative resources to support your instruction. We continuously review electronic resources that we feel would enhance our offerings and partner with academic departments to trial these products. This collaboration has resulted in the addition of ebook packages and streaming video services which are well received by the end users. We welcome suggestions for resources you believe could be beneficial for your classroom. Please note that all new resources are subject to the library's collection development policies.
