The professional education collection covers the theoretical academic books in the various curriculum and instruction areas of teacher education, early childhood education, literacy/language arts education, mathematics education, science education, social studies education, and educational media and technology. They are located on the 4th floor. Many education books such as educational foundations, educational administration, special education, counseling and school psychology are located in Langsam Library. Many education monographs are purchased in e-book format.
Professional education journals primarily cover the curriculum areas found in the CECH Library. They are located on the 4th floor. Journals for other education areas are located at in Langsam Library. Most education journals are purchased in e-formats.
Reference books deal with various areas of education and consist of handbooks, dictionaries, encyclopedias, reviews, directories, bibliographies, and books about authors. They are located on the 4th floor. Education reference books may also be housed in Langsam Library.
