Important Deadlines for Ohio Voting

The following dates apply to residents in the state of Ohio for the 2024 General Election.

Voter Registration Deadlines:

The last day to register to vote or update your voter registration in Ohio is: October 7, 2024, Boards open until 9pm

Absentee Ballot Application Deadlines:

General Absentee ballot applications in Ohio must be received by the Board of Elections by: October 29, 2024, 8:30 pm
Requests for a Military/Oversea ballot must be received in Ohio by: October 29, 2024 by noon

Absentee Ballot Return Deadlines:

The last day to postmark/mail all general absentee ballots for Ohio is: November 4, 2024
Note: If at all possible, it is highly recommended to mail back your absentee ballot ASAP due to possible mail disruptions.
The last day to sign your Military/Oversea ballot in Ohio is: November 5, 2024
- Note: Ballots must still be received by the Board of Elections by the 4th day after the election, so if at all possible, it is highly recommended to mail back your absentee ballot ASAP
The last day to drop off your absentee ballot at your county's Board of Elections in Ohio is: November 5, 2024 by 7:30pm

Early In-Person Voting Dates:

Early In-Person Voting begins in Ohio on October 8, 2024 and ends in Ohio on November 3, 2024
